Research and development at the core of our operations, since inception.
Since its inception, Urban Metals has placed research and development at the core of its operations. We continuously invest in scientific research and engineering innovation to develop advanced systems capable of recovering valuable metals from electronic waste through environmentally responsible and technically robust processes.
Our dedicated in-house R&D laboratory is equipped to conduct a wide range of mechanical, chemical, electrochemical, pyrometallurgical, and hydrometallurgical studies. The facility also houses precision analytical instruments for both qualitative and quantitative metal analysis, enabling accurate characterization of process materials and purity testing of precious metals such as gold and silver.
R&D Laboratory
Research into liberation and separation of metallic fractions from mixed e-waste streams.
Chemical and electrochemical treatment studies supporting refining and precious metal recovery.
Heat-based metallurgical processes for metal separation and recovery.
Solution-based recovery techniques for base and precious metals from process residues.
Leveraging this research infrastructure, our engineering team has developed proprietary recovery methodologies for both base metals and precious metals, delivering high-purity metal outputs while maintaining process efficiency and environmental compliance.
Innovation at Urban Metals is a continuous pursuit. By combining scientific research with practical engineering, we strive to improve resource recovery, enhance process sustainability, and contribute to a cleaner environment—keeping our air cleaner, our land greener, and our water crystal clear.
