Four Integrated Stages

From dismantling table to recovered metal.

Manual Dismantling

Electronic equipment is carefully dismantled to segregate plastics, steel, cables, and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Mechanical Separation

Advanced mechanical processes liberate and separate metallic fractions such as copper, aluminum and iron/steel from non-metallic materials.

Metal Refining

Copper is purified to high commercial purity through electro-refining, while valuable lead, tin, silver, and palladium are recovered from refining by-products using specialized metallurgical processes.

Precious Metal Recovery

Gold-bearing components undergo controlled chemical treatment to recover high-purity gold through a dedicated recovery process.

Environmental Responsibility

Pollution control at every stage.

Environmental protection is integrated into every stage of our operations. Dust generated during dismantling and mechanical processing is captured through dedicated dust collection systems, while furnace emissions are extracted through fume hoods and treated in a wet scrubber before release.

All process effluents undergo multiple treatment stages—including sulfite oxidation, pH neutralization, activated carbon filtration, and effluent treatment—to ensure compliance with environmental discharge standards. Process residues are safely stored and disposed of only through authorized Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs), while noise control measures and rainwater harvesting further reduce our environmental footprint.

Authorized disposalProcess residues stored safely and disposed of only through authorized TSDFs.

Noise controlMeasures in place to reduce operational noise impact.

Rainwater harvestingReduces the facility's overall environmental footprint.

By combining advanced metal recovery technologies with robust pollution control systems, Urban Metals ensures that valuable resources are recovered responsibly, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental regulations.
